EU Parliament background on the week of 29 May – 4 June 2023

Next week, MEPs will adopt their position on the delivery of ammunition and missiles to Ukraine and to help member states refill their stocks. They will also vote on new draft due diligence rules requiring companies to prevent, end or mitigate the negative impact that their activities have on human rights and the environment, such as on child labour, slavery, pollution or biodiversity loss.

Eurojust: Main iSpoof website admin sentenced to 13 years

iSpoof, a website that allowed criminals to impersonate trusted corporations, was taken down in November 2022 in an international joint action that led to 142 arrests. The main administrator of the website has now been sentenced to 13 years and 4 months of imprisonment by Southwark Crown Court in the United Kingdom.
