The Kremlin’s interference in democracies in the EU will be discussed by the Special Committee on Foreign Interference in all Democratic Processes in the EU on 10 May, together with Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
The Committee will then discuss the use of online platforms by malign actors to spread disinformation, manipulate the debate and harass opponents: Rapporteur Sandra Kalniete will present a working document, after which a hearing will be held with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube representatives.

The meeting with Mikhail Khodorkovsky will be held in association with the Committee on Foreign Affairs, whilst the hearing with online platform representatives will take place in association with the Committee on Industry Research and Energy, and the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
