Enabling the “Man on the Moon-Moment”? – The EU´s Renewed Sustainable Finance Strategy

29 April @ 11:00 - 12:30 CEST

29 April 2021 11.00 – 12.15 h Online Event via Zoom

Invitation

Two years ago, the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen presented the European Green Deal, calling the ambitious plan “Europe´s Man on the Moon-Moment”. To facilitate it and to bring in the private investment needed, the Commission established the Renewed Sustainable Finance Strategy, which is set to be published during the first half of this year, as an adjusted version of the older Sustainable Finance Action Plan.

But are we on the right track with the current approach to sustainable financing? Will companies and investors continue to find one another in the thicket of sustainable finance, taxonomy, and new financial reporting guidelines?
